Deal Dash always delivers and when it comes to toasting, they are at the top of their game!  One of the first items I BINNED at Deal Dash was a Proctor Silex Toaster, it features a Bagel  Setting, cool touch, a toast lift and has been a wonderful appliance for my kitchen.  After trying to win it and to no avail, I lost the auction, but it felt so good to buy the toaster and get all my bids back.  I went on to win a can opener and that was rewarding!

The whole process led me to fill my kitchen with those two items, a microwave oven for me and one for a friend and several attachments for my KitchenAid Stand Mixer, two food dehydrators: one win one bin.  I’ve also won a couple of coffee pots! All of these wins were under 200 bids, one f the microwaves was about 230 bid.  I also won  couple items for less than 100 bids.  Toasting the town with Deal Dash is easy and rewarding.

This clever 2-Slice West Bend Muffin Toaster  also cooks up to four eggs in four minutes! It retails for $40.00, but sells for an average of $5.24! That’s a total of 524 bids placed in the auction and let’s say 8 people are battling for it, that would mean the  average number of bids required to win would be about 66.

 

This Black & Decker 4-Slice Toaster Oven retails or $36.00, but the average selling price on Deal Dash is $1.40!  Deal Dash has made a few simple changes to the site that allows players to win more easily.  They  increased the number of auctions and added to the variety of items available on the site both very helpful to our success. If 5  people are in the auction, that’s around 30 bids to win!

Parlay Your Lot At Deal Dash

Deal Dash has a generous exchange policy. You can win an item at Deal Dash and exchange it for an amount of bids which you can use for another auction.   Sometimes that can be very rewarding.  I have won some of my favorite prizes that way. You can parlay a small win into that one item you have been trying for.

You want to go for the big prize, but you just don’t have enough bids, the best thing to do right now is bid on the small items and trade them in for more bids.  This is not always the best strategy, but if you are trying to win that one big item on a budget, this could be the best way.

There are a wide variety of items for sale on the Deal Dash site that sell for a low final price, and you can find them in every category.  Research the final selling price of a item listed on the auction page,  not every item has the final selling price listed, but the items with the most value and the widest range on winning price do.   Additionally, items with a value less than 200 tend to have less players.

Once you win the small auction you can trade in the prize for bids, then save your bids and go for the big one.   This is really similar to going after bid packs.  Except bid Packs are very popular, so going after them can be challenging.   At times, going after small prizes may be the best option simply because there are less people in the auction.

Before you start this stategy, do your homework!  Calculate the average selling price, see what other items are going for on the Winners Review Page, get to know the field of players when you are ready to begin, see who’s out of the field by utilizing the “Who’s at their limit?” tab on your Dashboard.

You’ve done your homework, now it’s time to buy the bids you plan on using to parlay to a larger prize, and most importantly, use your Bid Buddy!  There is no sense in trying to parlay into more bids if you are going rogue at the same time.  This is also a good time to stay focused on one auction.  You may be tempted to get into several small auctions, but this will spread you too thin to pay attention to the task at hand, winning!

Tip: Stick with a category you are familiar with, although it doesn’t matter what the item is you’re going after because you are trading it in, it helps to know the category.

Deal Dash has worked hard to build a site where you don’t have to go away empty-handed, so with some planning and wise bidding, you can get the prize of your dreams with a parlay!

dd hello kitty2It’s always a good strategy for Deal Dash to offer the best sales around the holidays and Thanksgiving is no exception to the rule.  Not only are they offering 4 to 7 times the free bids today, tomorrow and Black Friday, they are having a sale on bids at the lowest prices of 2015!  It doesn’t take a genius to know that 5 to 7 times the free bids is a great investment in your future, more bids equals more playing and more playing equals prizes!

One month from today is Christmas!  And it’s not too late to get your last minute deals.  The variety of gift ideas at Deal Dash crosses every department in the Big Box store, plus the Furniture store,  and the grocery store. Deal Dash also has the fairest Shipping Policy on the internet, Free!  They get your shipment out very fast.

Occasionally I will get a prize literally dd elephantovernight!  Deal Dash never charges a penny for shipping!

It’s ok to say this Sale is for me!  I love to Deal Dash for gifts, but once in a while, it’s my turn! I will win something to keep for myself, which I rarely do.  I love the thrill of the chase, and of course the Fireworks display every time I win!  A good strategy during the free bid sale is to lock and load the Bid Buddy, you know you need a bicycle for a Christmas gift, so load up the retail value of bids and go have a nice dinner with your family, here’s what happens, 1. You win! And only used 278 bids! or 2. Hitting The Wall At Penny Auctions? Get Your Bids Back At Deal Dash!

Getting Your Bids Back At Deal Dash!

Deal Dash does everything possible to make it easy for their players to win, but there is no guarantee  you are going to win.  It’s the nature of the beast.  You’re thinking for all the bids you entered, you should have won but you just didn’t.  You have hit the wall!  This is the time to reevaluate your playing strategy.

This is the first time you hit the wall, and you don’t like it!  I don’t like it either, but what I’ve learned is you can’t win them all, in fact, if you win 25% of the auctions you enter, you are doing pretty well.  If you aren’t winning 1 in four, then it’s time to rethink your the way you place bids.  If you are poking one bid into a bunch of auctions with the thought of returning later but don’t, take a look at how many of those “one bid” you place, they add up and distract from your success rate.

It really doesn’t matter what happened yesterday, today is all that matters. Take a deep breath because a “loosing streak” could last days!  It happens to every one.   Now, after thousands and thousands of bids, I realize I was the problem!  I get in my own way once in a while, I can’t help it. I just revert back to a “newbie” way of bidding and then scratch my head….what?!

So, what did I do wrong?  Number one mistake, not planning ahead.  You can shop for hours and days ahead of time, yet occasionally I will just jump right in without paying attention to what is coming on the market and who is in the auction?  Then suddenly, I realize after I have placed 200 bids “xyz” is playing and he’s always over bidding!!! I’m not doing my homework!   I call this “Bid- Crazy”, you can easily get bid crazy and not even realize it until 500 bids are gone! Don’t let this happen!  Get a hold of yourself.  Step away from the computer or phone.  Now, take your time to shop, after all , that’s why you are here!  It takes patience to win and you really need to pace yourself.

Now, you have a grip, come back and take a look at the field, you know what to look for, who is playing? What are prizes going for? Who’s at their limit? How long has the auction been running? You can do this!

Ok, now you have all your ducks in a row, go ahead and bid! Decide not to fall into the traps, 1. you can’t stand this player, you’re going to beat the pants of them, you will overbid instead of walk away. 2. You thought this was going to be an easy win and then after 200 bids you still have not won…you should have walked away but you let the win rule you. 3.  You have a ton of bids so you place them on your favorite item and then went on to other auctions, suddenly the auction ended and you lost, the other guy won because he was  paying attention, you weren’t. It’s that simple.  Do no over extend yourself.

So just when you thought you had this down-pat you started losing, reevaluate your strategy, and pay attention to your auction, I can not stress how important that is.  You have won many auctions before and you will win them again and again!

Fortunately, Deal Dash has a generous reward system in place, if you don’t win an auction, you can purchase the item and get ALL of your bids back! Not only that, every bid you place adds to the timer on a reward- for- bidding meter.  So no matter what you have a parachute at Deal Dash!

The Best Time To Shop At Deal Dash

    dd turkey The best time to play at Deal Dash is whenever!  But really there are better times to shop than others.  The first thing to consider when you are going to bid, especially on a high value item, what sale is going on at Deal Dash, and how can I use that to my advantage? i.e. free bids, reduced priced bids, multiple auctions at once.

     I always try to bid when there are Free Bid Sales, this is the meter that tallies the amount of time you have been bidding at Deal Dash, and they will reward you with free bids at increasing amounts and raise your player standing by 1 level.  For example this Black Friday November 27 Deal Dash will be rewarding every player 7 times the free bids than usual!  Seven Times! I’ve never seen that before, thanks Deal Dash!

Mornings are a great time to go for the kitchen appliances, home goods and low retail items.  The site is usually less crowded from 2AM until 7-8AM EST.  From 7-10 AM you can get lucky, but the whole country is waking up and racking up the bids.  I am one who will do this, get up and place a bunch of bids on something and then go about my day.

This Black Friday sale doesn’t stop at 7 times Free Bids, Deal Dash is also offering it’s lowest bid prices in 2015, .11 cents!!! Black Friday is a perfect day to stay home an Deal Dash because the malls will be crowded and you’ll use gasoline, you’ll have to eat some fast food, so jut stay home have a turkey sandwich and DASH!

Of course, a really good time to shop at Deal Dash is a holiday like Thanksgiving, when everyone is out at Grandmas, you can place a bunch of bids, go eat some turkey and come back to your new prize!  One of the most interesting and exciting sales at Deal Dash is when they put 50- 100 items on the market at the same time, that increases your chances of winning an item for only pennies exponentially!  There is a wonderful opportunity to plan ahead if you know there will be this kind of sale, you can move forward on the sales schedule by clicking the pages at the bottom of the Auction Page. There are a lot of players during this sale, it is a frenzy of activity and many items go for just pennies, it’s so exciting!  This Black Friday, Deal Dash is going to have  150 Auctions begin at 2PM!!!!

Certain days of the week are better than others, so not only are holidays a good time to Deal Dash, I have found one day of the week that works best for my schedule and works for me.  You will find the best times to bid for you by trial.  The weekends are full of bidders, which sometimes can work in your favor.  Let’s say there is a very popular item, for some reason everyone wants this one, you go for the other item, the one everyone has overlooked, this is your best shot at an easy win.  But as always, be prepared to do battle, hope for the big win but be prepared to BIN.

It doesn’t matter which of the Deal Dash sales is your favorite, we are getting them all this Black Friday!  7 times the free bids, .11 cent bids the lowest price in 2015 and 150 items at once!  Deal Dash has really stepped it up with sale, it’s obviously them Thanking us for a great year.

Epic Wins, Few Bids!

  If you’ve ever wondered why the “power bidders” win a lot, it’s because they are prepared to do battle.  Getting to know the Deal Dash Site is one of the best ways to prepare for battle.  First, be serious about bidding but have fun doing it.  I make a list of the people I want to keep an eye on, and I always use the tab “Who’s At Their Limit”, it costs one bid, but it can give you some insight into who may dominate a auction.  It’s found on your Dashboard in the left hand column.

     Check the stats of the site when you want to get started.  Watch the winners list so you know who won the big bid pack recently.  When using the winners list to examine the field, the lower the final sale price, the shorter the auction.  So if some one just won an 800 bid pack for .48 cents, they just place those bids, but if it sold for $24.00 it’s been running a while.

     It takes some time to get to know the Deal Dash site in detail, so the more you play the more you know.  You start by having fun, you come and go in auctions, but now you want to win, and the power bidders are serious about winning and some will do it at all costs.  Everyone is on the site is there for the same reason, to find great deals. 

     I have fought my way through many battles, but it’s also part of the allure for me.  In any event, I still love winning!  Not every auction is hard fought, you just have to be prepared to do battle, here are 3 of my favorite big ticket wins that barely had a battle, and the statistics as they ended. 

Dekdo Personal Transportation Device, there were 75 people in the auction at the $5.00 No Jumper mark. This item is valued at $1299, I used 93 bids, a cost of $13.95, and the final price was $8.00 but I only paid one penny during a “Free Wins” Sale.  The auction ended around 10AM, often early morning is a great time to play. This was an epic win!  I was shocked it went so low, I expected to pay much more.  Chalk one  up for me, over 98% savings!

Barrel Shack Josephine Wall Clock Value price $780. There were 14 people at the $5 No Jumper mark, pretty good odds. My general rule of  14 people in an auction is that 2-5 will be bidding at any given time.  You can be sure the higher the value of the item, the more people trying to win it.  This is also true of popular items like a metal detector, not necessarily a high ticket item, but it’s very popular, so there will be many bidders. This auction closed around 1:30 PM and I used only 55 bids, a cost of $8.25!  plus I paid $1.79, for a total of $10.04 a 98% savings!  

New Haven Pure Harmony Scale a value Price of $229, there were 11 people in the auction , I place 19 bids at 2PM and won! The bids cost $2.85 and a final price of one penny, it is always so exciting when you win an auction. 

     However you get there, it’s all about the ride! Be sure to check the stats when you get there, who’s winning, for what price and Who’s At Their Limit? Knowing these facts will help  you win more auctions for less bids.

Keeping An Eye On The Other Guy

Keeping an eye on the other guy!

     Keep an eye on the other guy and then some.  It is so easy to watch the auctions and know that a certain player won’t bid more than 200 bids, then suddenly, he’s up around 500,  that’s one the most unpredictable issues about Deal Dashing…human nature!      Once you follow a few auctions, you will find that the same people consistently over bid or win at all costs.  This win should not be at your expense,  so if you have been in an auction and you see that “bidhappy” is in there, wait until they leave and then come back, they always leave, often come back, occasionally forget to come back and just give up…just like you. If you leave, you may lose to him, but the good news is he has one less win in his 9 win limit this week.  Once that player has hit the limit, they are done for the week.  I will sometimes let a player win if they are near their limit just to get rid of them!

There are many reasons to follow the competition’s habits.  One thing you will discover about bullies  is there are many, many “bullies” that bow out very early in an auction.  You can count on that often, you just need to learn who they are.  You do that by watching auctions and spending time bidding.  The good news; there is always time to learn.  No matter how long you have been playing, you will learn the competition, and we are always there because we love Deal Dash so much! 

If you are like me you don’t go shopping at the mall, I just don’t care to shop that way.  Everything I ever need I find at Deal Dash, in fact, I often find things I didn’t even know I wanted, and best of all it’s  a fabulous way to find the perfect gift for anyone, choose a recipient and play for an item, they will love the one you win!  Everyone I gift is sitting on the edge of their seat because they know they aren’t getting a cheap little trinket  from me, it is bound to be of high value and awesome! I have become the best gift giver in the family!

It doesn’t matter if you are a newbie or a seasoned player, you need to know your competition.  It’s the best way to predict if you could win or simply should give up.  Don’t be afraid to say…”I’m done, go ahead player X, have it.” If you do you will feel relieved when you’ve realized some other player over bid, 5 players went with them and you went on to win 2 other prizes in different auctions! Win, Win!

A sure thing about the competition, they are always there!  It’s why  Deal Dash is so  fun and exciting! We’re all here for the same reason, to find a great bargain, a good and interesting item and have a blast doing it.

Black Friday Warm Up At Deal Dash

Black Friday week!   If you are still Holiday shopping  this is the perfect time to get in your last minute Deal Dashing.  Remember to stay focused on the prize, if you are bidding for gifts you can stay more neutral with bidding because you know, if you don’t win it, you will buy it.  It’s a gift, you need it, you might win it but you can BIN (Buy It Now) it and get your used bids back.

     You might ask what’s the big deal? But what everyone is celebrating at Deal Dash is amazing sales and opportunity.  This week at DD there is my favorite kind of sale….lot’s of free bids! That’s right, free bids! This is where the “opportunity” comes into play.  For every bid you place you will earn more free bids than any other day at DD.  Every so often at Deal Dash you can earn, 2 times, 3x, and 4x the free bids.  But during Black Friday Week you will earn that- plus! From November 23-26 you will earn 3x, 4x, 5x the bids.  and bid prices will go as low as .12 cents! 

   So the best thing to do is get out your list, load up on low priced bids, surf the DD site and check off your favorite item for each person. When you play smart, you can win free bids more than once this week or depending on your level even more.  I urge you to stay away from over bidders, they will eat your stash!!  You don’t  want some bully to do that, so stay away from the bullies.  You may say they win too much this way, and they do win, but they can’t win them all, just like you and me, so if they are over determined they will meet their match every time.  That’s not a good thing because they are spending a fortune on bids and that defeats the outcome of getting good deals.
